Case study in development

Manual QA Testing of a Public Application

A practical testing exercise covering test scope, exploratory testing, documented test cases and clear defect reporting.

This page is an honest project outline, not a claim that the case study is already complete. It will be updated as public-safe evidence is produced.

Objective

Select a publicly available web or mobile application and evaluate a limited, clearly defined workflow without accessing private or restricted systems.

Planned methodology

  • Define test scope, environment and assumptions.
  • Create functional and usability test scenarios.
  • Execute repeatable test cases and record results.
  • Document reproducible defects with severity and evidence.
  • Summarize coverage, limitations and remaining risks.

Planned deliverables

  • Test plan
  • Test-scenario and test-case sheet
  • Sample bug reports
  • Test-summary report

Confidentiality approach

The project will not contain prototype-device screenshots, unreleased Transsion features or confidential employer testing information.
