The question

Which capabilities recur across Research, Data and Quality analyst roles in the sample market, and what should a candidate prioritize learning? This was an independent portfolio study, not a commissioned recruitment engagement.

Scope and method

The existing dataset records eight advertisements in each of three role families, observed on 27 July 2026. Role titles, employers, source URLs and evidence notes are retained in the downloadable workbook.

Thirteen skills were coded as present or absent in the reviewed source text. Counts were calculated across the full sample and within each role family. The balanced sample supports comparison; it does not estimate the distribution of jobs in the sample market.

Findings

Reporting, analytical thinking and communication were coded in all 24 records. Documentation, data cleaning and spreadsheets also recurred frequently. The table shows selected counts.

Beyond the table, process improvement appeared in 10 records, BI or dashboards in seven, and Python or scripting in one.

Research roles emphasized information gathering; Data roles emphasized cleaning and analysis; Quality roles emphasized review, audit and documentation. The role families overlap, but their day-to-day methods differ.

The recommendation

Start with source evaluation and concise analytical writing. Add spreadsheet cleaning, formulas, pivots and validation, then practice documenting defects and corrective actions.

Then build SQL and dashboard skills around the roles being pursued. The sequence is a recommendation for this sample and candidate context, not a claim that low-frequency skills have little market value.

Deliverables and quality controls

Deliverables: the coded sample, skill counts, role profiles, evidence notes and source index, with a written recommendation.

Displayed totals were recalculated from the stored 24 rows in October. This checks arithmetic without independently re-verifying every historical posting.

Limits and business relevance

Several records cite job-search pages rather than stable individual advertisements. These can change, expire or show partial text. Treat the workbook as a historical coded sample with uneven source traceability.

The demonstrated service is organizing fragmented public information into comparable fields and a practical recommendation. No hiring, employment or client revenue outcome is claimed.
